Mariela Martínez advises local and international companies on various aspects of Civil Procedural Law, including vast experience in handling civil and commercial litigation, and arbitration, especially regarding breach of contracts and civil liability cases. In addition to provide legal advice in collection procedures to local private banks, she provides assistance to international recovery firms for debt recovery, creditors’ rights and related legal services in Costa Rica.
She graduated from the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho, (2010), and obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Notarial and Registration Law from the same University (2012). She also obtained a specialization in Contracts and Damages from the Law Specialization Courses conducted by the Salamanca University (2014), and a Master of Laws degree (LL.M) in International and Comparative Law from Tulane University (2017). She is a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association.
