Alejandra has more than twelve years of experience in the field of Tax Law, been specialized in the attention of local and regional tax consulting processes. She has led tax restructuring processes, as well as due diligences, merger and acquisition of different companies, both local and international and has also extensive experience in the field of tax litigation, at both administrative and judicial stages, as well as special processes carried out before different instances of the Ministry of Finance.
Alejandra has been instructor of the Specialization Program in Tax Law of the Chamber of Industries of Costa Rica and been a member of the Legal Affairs Committee and the Taxation Subcommittee of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). She has participated in tax consultancy processes with public institutions, such as the Bank of Costa Rica, its subsidiaries (during the years 2011-2012) and the Institute of Municipal DevelopmentIFAM (during the years 2010-2011).
Bachelor and Law Degree in Law (Summa Cum Laude and Defense of thesis approved with distinction) from the Universidad de Costa Rica (2005).
Specialization Degree in Notary and Registry Law from Universidad Interamericana (2015).
Currently studying Master’s Degree in International Tax Law from Universidad de la Rioja (Spain) (2017).
